Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

The bump stop for the Fabtech UCA that contacts the upper metal tab. I have never had it come in contact while driving/off-roading, but working on it right now you can see how it provides protection.

This is the angle on my suspension. Everything is nice and parallel.
Here’s some pics of the Fabtech UCA’s on my H2. The Cognito UCA’s are exactly the same and both brands are very good IMO.
Gotta necro this thread because I can find absolutely nothing on the internet about these downward travel stops except for this thread in this forum.

I just had my H2 lifted by piecing together a lift kit with new keys(Supreme), spacers(Supreme), shocks(ProComp)& extenders(Supreme), UCAs with offset ball joints(Moog)and an adjustable panhard bar(Supreme), I also did all tierods(Moog). The reason I pieced this all together instead of just buying a kit was because I did not want my frame all hacked up to install a kit, the problem that I have ran into is that the shop that I had install everything, cut off the downward travel stops completely, they told me that the upper control arms would not fit after the lift because of them and that they had to be cut off or they wouldn't have worked, did I just get screwed? I don't know what to do because I specifically told them numerous times that I wanted nothing cut at all, I even sat down there with one of the guys and we researched all the parts and ordered them on his computer, they didn't even call before they did it, they just went ahead and cut them off and then told me afterwards.

I also noticed that they cut off part of the frame in the rear by the sway bar arm link on the driver side and it looks like it didn't need to be cut off and that they quit cutting it off about 3/4 of the way through realizing that they didn't need to do it, I'm not sure what to do but I know that I am not happy at all and that my frame is all hacked up now and that's exactly what I didn't want and that is what I told them, it looks like absolute crap too because they didn't even grind down the weld and it's all jagged, it looks like a four year old did it.

What are the short-term and long-term effects of not having front downward travel stops going to be? I already told them that I wasn't happy and I didn't want that to be cut and they just blew it off like I was a dumbass and didn't know what I was talking about, they acted like it was standard procedure and not a big deal at all but I know that part of my Hummer is no longer there and I can't take it back to stock now if I ever wanted to.
