2003 Hummer H2 "EV"
What started as a joke with friends about throwing on "Hybrid" badging on the H2 has EVolved, lol...
I live in Ontario Canada and Hybrids/EV receive many benefits; special green plates, exclusive use of EV/HOV lanes, even special parking at certain places...
Looking into local laws, it appears all I have to do is provide a valid safety standards certificate and complete a statement that I have modified my vehicle so that it can run/propel itself under full electric.
There is no "test", but my vehicle CAN move under 100% electric power.
I've had a Warn bumper winch on the truck since new, and I have used it many times, awesome/handy mod BTW.
Safety certificate costs about $50.
100% factual my vehicle has been modified and in fact can travel under 100% electric power
Going to pull the trigger to be the first registered EV H2 evar!
*also to win a bet that I couldn't get green plates, lol
