i had to drop the tank as well and replace the fuel pump a while back; actually still need a replacement bolt in order to reinstall the gas tank protective cover. Suggest your tank be just about empty or it will be very heavy. I also had to replace the straps holding the tank it was so rusted it was a matter of days.
