Has anyone ever cross referenced to see if any of the Chevy Avalanche sunroof parts will interchange with a comparable year H2?

i believe the H2 sunroof is much wider than standard sunroofs but the rail parts i do not know.

 

Would not work. The H2 one is much wider than pretty much anything else. If anything would work it might be a couple of smaller bits like the motor. I forget who now but I went as far as to determine who actually manufactured it, they make them for dozens of different vehicles, not just GM. I looked at hundreds of photos of other ones as well trying to find similarities, etc. The one they made for the H2 was specific to the H2 only. I concluded that the only viable option to totally fix it would be to get a complete (you dont need the glass itself or the shade but will be unlikely to find just the frame assembly) known working unit from a junkyard or ebay, etc and then clean that donor up and install it.
