‘05 Hummer H2 Front Hitch Motorcycle Carrier
Hi, on the front of the H2s, they have this vertical pin hitch system. Since i do not want to get rid of the spare tire, but i also want to carry a motorcycle around. I think im gonna put the motorcycle carrier on the front hitch and have the carrier fitted for the vertical pin holes. The motorcycle + the carrier is about 650 lbs. Will the ‘05 H2’s front hitch support the 650 lb tongue weight? Is this a good idea? Thanks

The advertised Payload Capacity(2,200lbs), best to distribute the weight properly(cabin to rear) for a safe ride. Also make sure your carrier is rated for the weight of your motorcycle, plus tightly secure it with a ratchet tie-down to the crossbars(reduces the forced weight over bumps).

I use the front hitch to park the boat in garage. The tongue weight is about 600 lbs. It can easily move the boat this short distance and low speeds, but given the stress I see on the front of the truck, i would never consider putting that kind of weight on the front for any significant speed or distance. I'd feel more comfortable with 200 lbs, maybe 300 lbs max for normal driving on the front.

^ I have to agree. The point of the front hitch is to nose in trailers. It is mounted by 4 bolts to a frame crossmember if memory serves me correct. I don't think I would put a motorcycle on it especially with the up and down motion when hitting bumps.

What is the weight of your dirt bike?

You are well within specs of the tongue weight, as long as your extension can handle the extra down force weight. Btw, the OP's motorcycle is 2x your weight. Simple math: check the weight of your spare + the rack and cargo, to stay below the advertised tongue weight of 700lbs.
