Gheeeeeeeeeeeez .... All kinds of stories from GM...2 G 3 G ??? Any Case.. OnStar In The rigs is Gone... I still have the Cell Phone OnStar App... That has some features to it.
On another note* I have a Bud who's dad has a 2007 Suburban with 52K on the clock garage kept. He's been having this trouble with dead batteries. Gone thru 5. Has gotten a new one under the Warranty as they were toast. If he left it in the garage for more than 3 days the battery went dead. My Bud is a working trained mechanic. Did all the parasitic drain tests and all looked normal in drain Milly Amps.
Been to two different dealers. The could not find the problem. One said it was ok ...nothing wrong. The other went??? and gave the truck back. So, I'm on a Private Corvette Forum with Mostly NCRS Corvette guys. One is a GM At large Troubleshooter that goes to dealerships to settle warranty claims in dispute. He also has access to all internal service Bulletins .
So I made a Post and told him the story. He sent me the below PDF and did mention OnStar as well. But look at the service Bulletin. Please keep this Service Bulletin here and please do not repost it. His Return Post is below: I only bring this up as we are talking about OnStar.
Not sure if some of the electrical things are the same in the GM HUMMER series...??

That's Right!!!!!!! Just received a call here at home from OnStar. They said they are teaming up with Elon and "Star Link" and will be activating 2 G 3 G in the HUMMER line up for a small fee of your first born male child and The purchase of a Duramax Engine swap out. Cost his $23,500.00.
I told them to Call BLK WLF after me.

I need to check my smartphone as I use that one only for business and get 30 to 40 calls a day from Mr and Mrs S.cam.
Personal I use a flip phone with no data.
I’ll text on SM from my iPad.
I remember the jump from 2 to 3G and how fast everything was 😂
In other news I had to go with onstar as my BCM and ECM to turn my H2 gas combustion engine into a hydrogen combustion fuel powerhouse as it was back ordered till 04/01/26 🤷🏼♂️
