Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Default OnStar, does it still work?

Someone around here had mentioned analog OnStar being dead for quite some time since they moved to digital OnStar.

My question is, that seems to be true so did GM ever reach out to anyone to have the equipment upgraded? Does the analog OnStar actually do anything at all anymore?

I ask because I have been paying $24.99 since I bought my rig so I'm going to be a little pissed if all these months I've been paying for nothing.

Glad to see an confirmation. I'll play around with mine and maybe give OnStar a call just to make sure it is still working fine. Everywhere I read online says the analog system has been shut down for years so this is interesting. Thanks!

I even get monthly emails with diagnostic reports. I do not subscribe the the nav features, I thinks its a waste with modern cell phones. Their cell service is cheap and serves as a good back up for me.

Good luck

I think the H2 has to be a 2006 or newer to have the digital On-Star. I had my 2003 updated to digital years ago. I think it was $150 or so. I like on* and have it activated in both our daily drivers.

I thought that the analog onstar ended in 2008.
Cars purchased 2002-2004 could have dual mode.
I dont think i have ever tried mine since mine is an 03 and i dont subscribe to the service.

Now i have to go try mine and see what happens lol

Lojac is that 24 x month?
If so out looks expensive for what it is.
What does onstar offer. Other than "directions" . Ph calls , and emergency
Just wondering if it is good for new vehicles

Yes it is, I was paying $50 a month for my H2 and my Canyon but kicked my Canyon down to the $19.99/month plan but I keep the H2 at the middle plan because it includes stolen vehicle assistance.
