I need some info on the PI letter that was sent to dealers.
What is a PI letter and do you have any more info on it?

Just had mine go at 69,000 2 years out warranty and second owner. GM paid the entire bill.

My Hummer had the same problem. GM fixed it for me a updated there system to include the Hummer in it now. So any of you guys have this problem. It should be in the system to fix at no charge.

I have a 2008 H3 with 40000 miles that was just diagnosed with bad cylinder heads. The Gm dealer handled it well and all new parts now going in. Just a good thing I caught it and threw a little knowledge pressure on Gm. I really did not think this extended into the 2008 year model but apparently it does,so owners beware and get it under warranty.How could they let this issue go on for so many engines and not correct the manufacturing process.Anybody up for a class action????

Who did you guys speak with? Do you have a contact with the Hummer Assistance Center? I've called my dealer many times now and they say there has been no service bulletin issued on this by GM. They told me it would need to be handled on a case by case situation through the Hummer Assistance Center.

Default I-5 head issues

Has anyone head their head replaced recently? Have they solved the valve seat problem, or is the new head just a "time bomb" as well?

I just started having the rough idle issue at 94k miles, sure enough bad head (valve seat sticking). What are the chances I can get this covered under some extended warranty?!? If so, how?

I already called the dealership and they quoted me $3500!!!

Default Another to add to the list

A couple of weeks ago we started to get the rough idle but no check engine light. Well a few days ago we got the dreaded light along with the misfire code when Onstar ran a diagnostic. Our 2006 H3 is at the dealer as we speak with only 75K miles and cylinder head problems. We were told it is going to cost us first $575 dollars just for them to open it up and find out exactly what needs to be done and then most likely have to replace the head which will cost an additional $2600. I am so mad right now I can't stand it. You would think after paying almost 17k for a car you wouldn't run into these kinds of problems. I did call and argue with the Hummer Assistance Center this morning and they sent my case to be reviews by a specialist that is suppose to let me know within 24hrs what they can do for me. All I have to say is they better do something, there have been to many people going through the same thing to just keep ignoring the problem. Here is the info if anyone else would like to flood customer service with complaints so this problem gets dealt with!!!
