Is there any evidence out in the US to suggest that this is possible?
Imagine a fair proportion of the hummers in uk are lpg due to fuel cost so I guess you'd expect them to make up a fair amount of those with any problem. I have seen things suggesting it affects the life of the engine.

I'm thinking of taking my hummer back to uk in the new year... How do you get on with it there... Does it attract much unwanted attention?

Default RE-Visit the poll!!!

Sorry to beat a dead horse but is it possible to re-do the poll and add mileage up to 75,000 on the head issue? I noticed that all of these posts are very dated and I need more updated info. Of the people with head issues, anyone consider a class-action lawsuit or I am in this fight by myself? 60,000 miles on a 2007 H3 and needing the head replaced is unacceptable. Please let me know if you have been affected. I am ready to do this!!!!

Has anyone gotten any place with help from Hummer on the head issue?
This sucks I have no friends when it comes to getting help. I will have to PAY UP to fix the GM engineering mistake. $46,000 POS!!! And people laugh @ Fords and Japs rigs. I will NEVER buy another GM product.

Default New H3 head, still vibrating

I just had the head on my '06 H3 replaced @ 79K miles for the *bad* vibration at idle issue. Mine started at about 45K miles. Just spent thousands and the vibration is still there. Replaced every sensor in the engine as well as throttle body, accelerator pedal, plugs - you name it! There are no codes nor misfires and compression is spot on. We are going to change the harmonic balancer for giggles, but I am extremely doubtful that will do anything but waste more money. Incredibly disappointing.

If that isn't bad enough (different topic), now there is a (near violent) shaking that has started under acceleration that I (we) believe is being generated from the drive train. Brand new tires - 2 sets - 1st new set replaced as possible culprit. Tires have been definitively ruled out. Everything appears very tight. Has been checked by 2 different independent shops and of course by me, a former certified aircraft mechanic.

Any wisdom on these issues would be much appreciated.
