Default Why no Hummer EV section on forum?

Why is it missing?

For example, we could discuss that GM states the battery is only expected to last 4-5 years in their promo literature……and then laugh heartedly at the stupidity of replacing a $20k battery pack. That only cost you $5K per year to operate. Plus electricity. Wow!

Main reason is Hummer EVs are NOT Hummers, they are GMCs and those would be at GMC truck forums.

Plus, I am just a lowly Mod with no ability to open new sub forums and nobody pays any attention to us over here from forum brands....... yada yada.

Probably not enough of them on the road or interested in the forum to warrant a specific section.

GMC (General Motors Company) Purchased the brand name from AM General back in December 1999

Have to disagree.

With a 3 year waitlist, and these starting to appear now, there will be a HUGE following. There already is. And buyers have a lot of questions.

I think, no I KNOW, that introducing an HEV section would pump life into this forum. And that is much needed, given the huge attrition rate.
We need something that will give the forum owners (Forum Brands?) a reason for keeping this website live. Traffic.

And THAT is THE reason why most of the other Hummer forums perished. Expecially the largest/most popular Elcova.
We do not want that to happen to the last H2 forum that is still currently active with more than a handful of members. That would be Hummerforums.com
I do not even go to the other ones anymore, where I see last posts at the start of 2022 and such.....

Nah, About the only thing getting pumped is the new owner of the EV by GM and the Government.

Hopefully this forum will stay true to form and let the electrics go their own way.

There are other Hummer forums, some even have an EV specific section. Obviously it isn't as busy as some other sections. The H3 section of any Hummer forum is going to be the busiest just because of the numbers of each model produced. As an H1 owner there is only one forum that has significant traffic. That is why it pays to be on multiple forums.

Why is it missing? GM claims their battery lasts 4-5 years, making the $20k replacement cost $5K per year, plus electricity—what a joke!
