I purchased a think diagnostic obd2 scanner just for my air suspension problem. I paid like $98 bucks for it on Amazon. It is bi directional. I haven't messed with it too much but it definitely worked to inflate my airbags. It's works off an app on your phone. I'm not a computer person and it was simple to use

Default Scan tools...

I have one of the Chinese clones I purchased for about $135. It works, I can relearn the cam and crank sensors, test various components and get real time data. Then I also have the Diablo predator programmer. Use the same thing on my Escalade. For the H2 I just use it to firm up the shifts a little bit to add some longevity to the transmission. There's a lot of various settings that you can play with like changing your tire size so that your speedometer reads correct.

Can you tell us which of the Chinese clones you bought? A Tec2 type or other? And where you bought it? TIA.

Default Here's what I use

OBD2 Scanner Code Reader for Chevy/GMC Full System Diagnostic Scan Tool, Transfer Case ABS SRS EPB CKP Oil Reset 30+ Special Function Check Engine Code Reader with Battery Registration Bi-Directional https://a.co/d/du1vV4F

Or just Google the CGSULIT SC530. It's still available on Amazon I see. The main feature I wanted was to be able to reset the crankshaft and camshaft position sensors after replacing them. Just browsing through it the other day it shows you all the systems and the current parameters in real time, such as your fuel injection or ignition. You can send commands to activate components to test them, such as your purge valve. You can also command a bleed of the ABS system. Very useful for the price.

Default Several to choose from

I originally decided on this one based on the feedback from purchasers on Amazon. But there's many different manufacturers marketing their flavor which look like the I'll do the same thing. And it's not tied to any specific VIN number like the Diablo predator is. It appears there's also a newer version from the one I purchased, but of course they want more money for the newer one.

Thank you. Looks good for what I could need as well.

Good to hear it actually works on the H2 because they certainly don't list the old beast! LOL And a smaller investment that may work on the wife's newer 2020 Caddy is a bonus! Beats a TEC2 that stops at 2014. Thanks again for your information.
