AC Off light and coolant leak
2008 H3 101,000 miles.
AC off light came on w/temp gauge dropping to off the other day. Took it to shop and they said there was no coolant in the reserve and none that they could see in the radiator by taking the cap off.
I don't ever see fluid so they said it must be internal.
My question is, do you think the two are related and how big is my bill going to be?

Yeah dude, if you browse this forum, you'll see that the cracked radiator is possibly the most common defect that H3 owners come across.
Could have replaced it yourself for $150-$250. I did it and I'm not a mechanic.
I would suggest checking your fluids more often, might save you a heap of loot in the long run.

When the temp sensor has no contact with coolant, it cannot get a reading. When the PCM cannot determine coolant temp, the first layer of overheat protection is AC OFF.
So.... are they related? Answer...... YES.
