Hummer H3 For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.

Any especial instructions for AAA to tow the H3 to mechanic?

Default Any especial instructions for AAA to tow the H3 to mechanic?

What do I need to do to the H3 -so that AAA can tow my H3 to the mechanic, without damaging the Tranny???

have them "Flat bed" it or if it will be towed on 2 wheels. set the transfer case to neutral.

Flatbed Tow Truck ONLY!
Don't mess around with a tow company that uses "tow trucks".

If of course you didn't know this info you could easily remove the bolts at both center sections/pumpkin that retain the prop shafts to said diff's. Four bolts at each end. Front prop shaft. Rear drive shaft. No need to remove the entire driveshaft, just 4 bolts on each . Then bungee up the driveshafts and tow or push away. For your safety throw a piece of wood under a couple wheels because once the driveshafts are free the truck will roll away. It is a opposing system meaning NO pawl in transmission.

You replied in a 6.5yr old thread> What is the correct way to load a 'NON-RUNING' H3 onto a flatbed tow truck
