Bought an 07 H3 a few months with 42,000 miles and have been working on it ever since. I started out putting a K&N cold air intake on it, transmission cooler, trailer hitch and wiring and a spark plug change. I have just changed every thing over to royal purple. It has actually made a difference that can be felt. I used to run royal purple in my P-29 scarab and it made a difference in it with higher oil pressure and lower oil temps. I have also had my windows tinted, vent visors, chrome mirrors, chrome punch grille and a factory roof rack. The oil I drained out of the axles and transfer case looked really dirty. Hopefully it is in much better health now.

 

The diffs come with synthetic gear lube from the factory and it is the recommended stuff: SAE 75W-90 Synthetic Axle Lubricant.

Nothing wrong with Royal Purple, I just use Mobil 1.

I purchased mine thinking it was all sweet with everything I needed from the factory. Now I jam money into it all of the time. lol I guess I do enjoy making these trucks better, it is a lot of fun! I thought of the Royal Purple stuff to, I have just never used it.
