won't start loud clicking
Wow pse30 I want one of those h3's that charges itself up when you run the battery dead, and it does that with the hummer off even? WOW.
david ducatti, that is not the problem. His battery was dead. He charged it and then it started.
How old is your battery redneck? Have you had it tested?

I guess he meant it charged up while driving. I agree with him that 11v is not dead
I have a jeep with new batt that I unhook after driving because it seems to have a leak. next week the unhooked batt is ,DEAD!! it charges but the batt seems bad, even new?

Still at 12.5 or 12.6 cold. I actually washed and waxed it during this episode and had quite a few doors open... with the dome lights on. Iv'e since turned off the dome lights. Hard to believe that 3 hours of open doors could run the batt that far down but I believe that to be the case. No sense rushing to replace battery yet if it's cranking and showing 12.5 right? May have been posted 100 times as someone "kindly" pointed out but my post for archive was more geared toward the loud clicking sound which I've never heard in an auto before. Especially coming through the speakers too. Combined with Mr. Jacko from GM Onstar tech customer service that recommended I re-seat the gas tank cap. Appreciate all the help folks.
light drain isn't much but its constant. I could run the radio for hours on end and start right up in various cars. not so with lights! I get the jeep batt soooo looow that it struggles to turn errr errr, then fires and I drive it back to charge up but let it sit a week unhooked and its dead??
the ckicking is because either the batt is weak/run down,or the connections are bad.or both. this lets the solenoid pull in which drops the volts to nothing, the sol then releases with another clik and the cycle repeats till you get tired and release the key. if the radio is on or just the amp is powered it reflects the big voltage swing and the speakers let you know it.
when I hear clik I go to the batt term first and twist them.
