Wiper Question
HummerMike in particular, but I would appreciate others comments as well, regarding a question on how the windshield wipers are supposed to work with the wiper fluid lever.
On every other vehicle I have owned, pressing the wiper fluid button/lever causes fluid to be pumped out the spray nozzles, and the wipers immediately start. On my 2007 H3, when I push the washer fluid lever forward, the fluid always sprays, but often (50%) the wipers do not engage. If I "hold" the washer fluid lever forward for a second or two, the wipers will eventually turn on, or if I keep "flicking" the washer fluid lever, they will start. When I phoned my dealers service dept. They said "That is the way it is."
Comments please!

RE: Wiper Question
My 07 H3 the fluid sprays first then the wipers start but it is not together. If I let go to soon the wipers will not go. I will see if I can try a couple today to see if they all work the same. Steve

RE: Wiper Question
Ok I have tried 8 h3's today and 3 had the delay and 5 were instant. I will try more as I come in contact with them. Some were 07's and some were 06's. I guess personally I am not going to loose any sleep over it but interesting. Steve

RE: Wiper Question
Thanks for input guys. It's not a huge deal, but I do find it a bit frustrating. When being passed by big rigs (or maniacs in their Hummers) and a bunch of mud splatters you, it's nice to just push the wiper fluid lever to get "instant" clean. When the wipers don't engage, you're left with mud and fluid, but no cleaning. Of course this usually happens fast so you are driving blind fora bit.
If it is a "problem", then I'd like to know for sure, and if that's the way it is as my dealer says, then I guess I live with it and just be careful.

RE: Wiper Question
There was a new calibration for the BCM thatcorrected a delayed wiper start. Ask the dealer to insall the new programming and see if it helps. Some of the 2006s would spray and then a second or two later start to wipe. The new calibration starts both at the same time.
