I just recently bought an 06 H3 and while driving on the highway I noticed that I get some air that comes thru on the upper portion of my windshield where it meets the headliner.. but only on the passenger side. I also get a lot of wind noise when on the highway coming from my passenger side... Just wondering if anyone has had this issue. Im starting to wonder if the windshield has been replaced... Is there away to tell if it has? Thanks for the help guys.

 

Have you examined your windshield closely? Is there any areas that suggest a lack of sealant? Do you get any water inside the car during heavy rains or the car wash?

 

mine is an 06 and had the same problem. i would get really bad wind noise from the passenger side driving over 60mph. its still under warranty and the dealer should fix it

 

The windshield looks fine.... doesn't look like any sealant is missing. I haven't washed it since I got it last week.. so I haven't seen if it leaks.

Oni- Did the dealer fix yours? If so, what did they do to fix the problem?

 

yes they fixed mine w/o any charges. it took about a day and they gave me a free rental SUV too. they replace they whole plastic trim on the roof. I was also told it was common with the 06's just like the leak in cylinder #2 thing. they fixed that for free too. have them run your vin# to see if you might need that replaced also.

 

Thanks for the help! I'll be calling my local hummer dealer to schedule an appointment tomorrow. I also will have them check the cylinder and my passenger side mirror is loose some idiot either walked into it or whacked it purposely the other day!

Got my H3 back today!!!! I give TEAM hummer over in Pasadena, CA 2 thumbs waaaaay up! Turns out my windshield had been replaced I'm guessing by the previous owner and the person who replaced it did a poor job in sealing the windshield, and thats what was causing the air leak and loud wind noise. TEAM hummer replaced my windshield, and no more wind noise or air leak!!!! They also replaced my passenger side mirror and did a 51 point inspection on my H3! Everything was covered under warranty! If anyone lives in the SoCal area and needs service go see Vic over at TEAM Hummer in Pasadena.. He was great and took care of me and my H3.
