Hey guys, anyone have any ideas on how to get something like a computer in ya car so I can have internet access and well ... pretty much just like an in dash laptop ...

I've thought about just having a small laptop that could just connect to say an in dash DVD player through AV cables or something .. but before I buy a head unit I thought I'd check with you fellas coz maybe there are some PC based DVD head units available .... or something even better maybe?

I read somewhere that someone used an iPad as a headunit. If you paid for the service there is no reason you couldnt use it for internet as well. Also, it was detachable so you could use it outside you car! That would be awesome IMO

 

This isn't exactly what you are looking for, but:

I know Hunner has a laptop mounted in his truck... and Beachbum, as I recall, has a tablet mounted between the front seats.

I know that Derreck, a guy I wheeled with this past weekend had what he called a "Carputer" for his headunit. I'll try contacting him and see what it is. He is a programmer for HP so maybe he made it himself. But I'll find out.

I just love this car guys! Its the neatest looking car ive ever had! And the public just love it, so many people ask me about it lol we only had them in Australia for 3 years and mine is the only one in say 500 mile radius so people stop and stare lol

Im thinking bout getting a nice fuel cap, maybe those billet ones .. and maybe a different set of tail lights ... the stock ones are very ... RED lol I want a nice set though, not something ricey ...
