I had this exact same problem with mine when i got it. I took it to the dealership, and not only did they replace the marker lamps but they also took out the windshield and put it in with the "new" cocking. They said it was stronger than the original. Hope your dealership cares about you as much as mine does me!!

I went to my Hummer dealer this morning to have this fixed. I managed to wander into the shop just as the tech was fixing my H3. He removed the plastic molding around the pillar (like in Gunner's pictures), and put some very thin double-sided tape on the inside flap that contacts the windshield. Seemed like a pretty slick idea. He said he's done several of these, and this is what the service bulletin recommended.

Hope this helps you with your problem.

I drove about 350 miles on the interstate today, almost half of it with a good headwind. No bizarre noise, no humming, no strange vibrations coming from the molding. Their sticky tape fix must have done the job!

Only got 15.14 MPG for this trip, though. Is it this nasty ethanol I've been using?

I know this is an old thread but my fiance's 06 H3 does this. It was quite annoying driving 3600 miles on a trip earlier this year to southern california. At one point, i shoved paper towels from a gas station under the plastic pieces to help stop the noise... worked for a while.

I noticed they are broken at the top where they meet the other piece.
Any ideas as to where I can pick up some new pieces?
plastic versus stainless??

I had the same problem before - it took me a while to figure out where exactly coming from. There is an air GAP between the windshield and the grill where the wiper sit. This is very difficult to see because of the weather rubber. When you start to drive at 60MPH and above it start to rattle and it sounds like its coming the top. To fix it, I purchase the double sided tape (3M) and placed it between the windshield glass and the grill. You need to use a flat screw driver to get in between them - lift the rubber and insert the double sided tape in between - do not remove the strip of the double sided tape on the windshield area. This should take care of your problem...

I get the same thing from the upper passeneger side. The source is the short corner cover piece that covers the gap between the pillar and the top rail. A swift wack with my palm usually makes it tight again and it goes away for a while. I'm sure there is a way to reattach it more permanently, as with 3M tape like you mentioned but it hasn't bothered me that much.

On a side note, the moldings that run the length of the roof on top are very wavy on my 06. First dealer i took it too said they were tight and it was normal. Obviously not normal. The second dealer I took it too said it wasn't a big deal, they only cover body seems. My stance was, if it didn't come off the line like that, its not normal. They will be replacing the moldings this week. Take a look at yours while your getting this problem taken care of because I know its fairly common on alot of H3's.

Has anyone else experienced this?? Can I put a dab of adhesive on all of these parts to keep them from vibrating?? Is there a TSB out there thatallows me to take thetruck back to thedealer under warranty and have them replace the loose parts?? Or, is this vibration a pride ofownership thing??
Yeah I had the same problem. TRY THIS>>>>>>>>>
When you lift up your hood you will see rubber weather stripping right under the LEFT AND RIGHT hood cowls infront of the window. ( THE KNOCK OFF AIR INTAKES). Try cleaning those rubber looking weather strip lookin things. Let me know if it works. worked for me!!!
