20inch rims

tires are going to be 275-55-20

Just want to make sure this is not going to look to small.

Cant seem to find a picture online with a h3 like this.

all that matters is overall tire height once mounted.

You will not have much sidewall and the tires will be about 3/4" shorter than the "base" 265/75R16 and almost 2" shorter than the 285/75R16s that came on the Adventure/OffRoad pakcages.

You will be putting on more miles than you actually are driving with the smaller diam. tires you have posted above.

275/55R20 = 31.9x10.8/20
265/75R16 = 31.6x10.4/16
285/75R16 = 32.8x11.2/16

Looks pretty much like a mall crawler with rubber bands for tires to me. Definitly NOT my style.

I also have 20's on with 275/55r20 that came with my rig, but I prefer the the larger sidewall look like all my other 4x4 rigs. I want to keep my 20's, just gotta find a nice off road tire that is functional for wheelin. I do like the look of the Nitto Trail Grapplers which I searched and found on another thread:

Good luck to ya!

Ok so the 20 inch rims are ordered-Offset: -12mm Backspacing: 4.56" Bolt Pattern: 6-139

My hummer h3 has the stock height and I do not want to change anything

All that I want to know is what is the best tire choice for these to make the h3 look ok. Dont want rubber band tires.

i had 22s on my denali and i ran cooper zeon ltz. they actually proformed well off road. They are an all-terain tire tho. u think denali and 22s not much off roading, but i put many hours and north texas pinstripes on it at the trails.

Im going to just get new tires 285-75-16's Because IMO after looking 20s-22s look stupid on a hummer.

Good work "grasshopper"!

You may want to look into the 305/70R16. They will be the same height as the 285s but wider 12.2". Look up pix of Doc Olds Black H3. I'll look through my pix to see if I have some.
