what would cause the engine not to start it cranks over but does not start this happened twice in the last 3 months. Check code plug but no error codes. It started after about 15 minutes each time. Then it ran fine for about a month then it did it again. Any ideas

That sounds like it. I did not know it was on the truck will have to watch out for the signs.

Walt, definitely the passlock system... It can be onset by several other variable though... Easy diagnosis for one, check the battery terminals... GM put Vega terminals in $30k vehicle, go figure. Pop the hood if there is ANY movement in them while attempting to twist them than it means that the connection isn't 100%...
