How wide are the 33's that everyone is running? I was thinking about mounting some 33x12.5-16 TrXus SUPER SWAMPER MT RADIAL on my factory wheel. These tires are suppose to be really smooth and quite on the road..

How about the Dick Cepek Fun Country II's in the same size? Any pro's or con's on either? I just want something that looks a little beefier than stock without going to 35's..

CodyB - man those tires are badass. How much do they run? What sites are you looking to get them from?

It's amazing how much the look changes from stock tires to others. Maybe I don't need rims afterall????

I have been researching tires for weeks and this is the one I think I'm going to go with, mainly becasue they look aggresive and are suppose to be very quite and smooth on the road.. A set of 4 runs about $1300 in the 33x12.5-16's.. The diameter is suppose to be a true 33" and not 1/2" less like so many other 33's..

The thing about rims you have to watch is that most will stick out a little farther than stock rims so the radious will grow and you have a better chance of rubbing at full lock or on the inner fender wells.. I like staying tucked under the fenders myself and it helps keep the fenders cleaner too..

TrXus M/T's are a great tire... I only know of one guy that had a major issue and he got rid of them... he hated them....

They wear pretty good... rotations are needed... they are nice in the rain, snow, street, and mud...

They look great.... they are quiet... and they do get louder as they wear and there is more tread contact... but nothing like some tires...

I had them in 35"... but I know a couple guys that ran 33's and loved them.... I like them better than the Iroks I am running now... but they are not available in a size I needed...

Thank you, thats the reassurance I needed..

Mr. Fancy Pants- If I were to go with a different set of wheels, I was going to look into the 16" TOYOTA TUNDRA TRD WHEELS, which appear to have the same bolt pattern but they only have an offset of +1 so they will stick out almost 2" and thats why I'm not going with them.. I really like the looks of this wheel..
