I'm getting a bit tired of hearing about forcing everyone to be "green". I'm all for cleaning up the enviroment but the media and government don't say anything about all the emissions from the diesel buses and semi's on the road or the airline industry spewing most of the pollution. I think I'll buy another H3.

The media SUCKS..CBS sucks, I'd like to try their 31mph test against the side of their building with the ALPHA, better yet line em' up

 

When someone thinks Hummer they automatically think H1, big and overpowering, a gas guzzling monstrosity (no offence to all the H1 owners), sorry but it’s true. There are dozens of other SUV’s and pickups that get much worse fuel mileage then our Hummers. It’s just that the media portrays the Hummer as a gas guzzler. If that’s the case how come we aren’t charged the “gas guzzler tax� like lots of other vehicles? A Ford V-10 pickup gets much worse fuel mileage then my H3 Alpha but yet no one singles that truck out.

rhill is correct, people are jealous. They think we Hummer owners are wealthy. My Ford Powerstroke cost more then my H3 did but no one picked on it. Just the opposite, everyone loved that truck! It’s the same with Corvettes. I used to own a 1994 coupe and people were jealous and treated me and that car like sh*t. People are jealous and hate you for what you have and they don't.

 

I've been involved in the whole "green" movement. A lot of cities are requiring developers to be more green. The thing I have never understood about the whole green thing is why it has become so trendy now. The sad thing, is a lot can be invented/discovered regarding going green but I think now that it is so main stream it will just get lost. People are rushing out to go get bamboo flooring because it's green but in order to fulfill the bamboo orders farmers are cutting down trees to plant bamboo. It was a great idea that went wrong because of supply and demand. That and people are willing to pay $3 a SF for bamboo. I would love it if we could actually go green and I could grow some plant to fuel my Hummer but no one will look into that because right now it's all surface fixes to settle the masses who are requesting green.

 

"Surface fixes" are all it ever is. They only have to fix something long enough to get out of office, let next guy look like chit because he doesn't care. They do it all of the time, look at the deficit. They fixed that in the 90's with short term bonds and told everyone that they cured America. Yea right, now look at us; the bonds are coming due. Can't blame the war, look through history. War's are GOOD for the economy. That may have something to do with why there is a major one roughly every 20 years or so. (conspiracy theory).

Ive had my H3 for like 4 weeks and if I have had 1 I have had 100 people say "Man that thind this nice...you like it.......what kinda gas mileage you getting?" I feel like saying yes it is......no I just bought it because it was the first car on the lot.........2 miles per gallon.

People just have no idea and to be honest I think they really have no idea that there is an H1 H2 and H3

I watched the same report but did not hear Hummer mentioned at all either positively nor negatively. I did see a red or solar flare H3 get test crashed. It looked pretty good to me.

I guess CBS won't be happy until they drive GM sales down and get the last few American auto workers laid off.

Three reasons I bought H3 ... #1 because I believe I'll survive an accident in better shape and #2 because I believe green flex fuel mods are just about here and #3 because if I ever get a chance to run over Hugo Chavez I want to do it in an American made vehicle where I won't spill my coffee as I run over that turd![8D]

 

The morning report yesterday on NBC was the one that said H3's were bad.......then last night it only showed the crash test pics.....go figure....
