having grown up on a ranch, i can say that while the ol' h1 might be able to hurt the bison, if a bison bull is as much a walking ball of animal kingdom fury and testosterone as a bull, the bison could also do some damage

 

When I was a teenager living on my grandparents farm in Arkansas, the guy up the road had a buffalo. Once I came home from school and found that thing eating my freshly mowed hay. I figured I could herd him out of the field like you can cattle. Let's just say I was the one that got herded. We wound up calling his owner who came down with his truck. I guess that buffalo got out all the time and new the drill, because he just walked right up and into the back of the truck.

 

I live in a basic urban neighborhood..But a mile away a farmer has a couple of the native beasts too..One in particular likes to get out and come over the neigborhood to visit with the garage sales on Saturdays..he's quite tame and friendly, his name is Bill for obvious reasons...He's actually welcome too, until he starts[sm=gobble.gif]munching on the neighbors flowers.
