My friend has a 2006 H2 SUT, that yesterday started making a beeping noise when the driver door was open, and sometimes during travel.
He made a video of the beeping:

I've never heard this beeping, it's not from the seat belt, I don't know what it is.
Any help would be appreciated.

based on the sound, a couple of issues comes to mind;

1. Possibly a door sensor short. The switch is not opening correctly when the door is opened or closed.

2. The ignition sensor that typically sounds when you exit the vehicle but have left your keys in the ignition.

A possible remedy might be to try resetting the BCM by disconnecting the battery cables for a few minutes and then reconnect and retest for the same issues. If the problem persists, it would be something more involved from there.

(I always try deducing electronic issues from the easiest or most common to the more complex).

Thanks for the tip, I told him to take of the cables from the battery, to see if it works. As soon as he does it, I'll let you know.
