Default wheels?

So i got me a 2008 H3 Alpha that has stock hummer 18" wheels with bridgestone dueler 265/65/18s on it. It hasnt been leveled yet and dont really know when i will be able to do it. But if i stick with 18"s how big of a tire can i put on before rubbing is an issue? Also was thinking 20s but dont want a rubber band tire, would like a all terrain tire cause here in indiana we get a bunch of snow. any suggestions?

You can put up to a 35" tire on an H3 even without leveling (but leveled looks better).
You have a 32" (31.56") tire now.

Rubbing becomes an issue with aftermarket wheels if you don't get the right backspace.

Yes those are approx. 34" tires.

There are a lot of spacers out there for the H3.
The cheap ones are dangerous.
The good quality ones are expensive.

One thing that you have to know is that H3 wheels are Hub-centric. Meaning that they locate on the inner hub which is 100mm diameter. any wheels and/or spacers that you choose must have a center bore of 100mm minimum to clear the hub ring.

well after reading through many of the other posts i have decided against the 20s and going to just stick with the 18s. Now i just need to eventually pick out a tire. Crazy how there can big price jump from just a lil change in tire size. For example: Falken Rocky Mountian oin size 265/65/18 is $151 same time in size a 275/70 is $220...seems like a big difference for lil change
