I'd like to put wheel spacers on my h3. Should I go with a 1", 1.5", or a 2" spacer? I don't want it to look too wide.

It is best practice to avoid wheel spacers when at all possible. If you want to change your stance go with a set of wheels with a different backspacing.

The amount of force a 5,000lb vehicle exerts at the wheels in a corner at speed is massive, I've seen warped studs, cracked spacers, etc. Especially if you do any kind of even moderate offroading avoid spacers.

By the time you invest in a set of QUALITY spacers, you might as well just jump up to getting new wheels. When I considered it as option, the kind of spacers I would feel comfortable running were going to cost about $120 per wheel. You can get a new set of 16" wheels for around that, and a few bucks more gets you bigger wheels if you want.

 

Before advising you on this please let us know some things about your H3. It is hard to give advice if we don't know the reason/issues.

Can you tell us what you expect to gain from adding wheel spacers? Wider track, looks, performance, etc.

What size and brand tires are you currently running on your H3?

Do you have the OEM rims on your H3?
