What's up with the horn??
Hey Mike. That horn-like intake on the right IS your battery cooling hose air intake. Trace it to the hose that should be connected to it. If the dinky one on the left in that pic isn't working, you must have had it swapped before you bought it, because that's the one I swapped and is the factory one. I bought a dual-horn from eBay that's something like 132 db's and wired it into my relay for my off-road lights with a diode so that when you hit the horn, the off-road lights come on
I have pics somewhere at home that I took of the process. I took alot of pics because that was the day I also put my KITT lights on
I changed the horn while I had the front grill off.

nope, not on mine Mikey....the right one is a horn on mine, I do not and never had a vent tube to the battery. My horn is also very deep and loud so I couldn't understand why people were complaining about it...I guess I know why now....the dealer must have added a second horn before I bought it......very interesting[&:]
They may have just took the battery vent and used that for some custom horn duct. I'll find the pictures I have of mine, and you'll see it's the exact same part. Now we have home-made horns lol. Nice.

1) Through away the instructions. (They want you to hook to the battery, You Don't Need To!)

My horn went out yesterday. I checked the leads and no power was going to it. So I checked the Owners Manual. The horn is on a seperate fuse (#36). .25 cent fix now I'm back scaring small children, (insert evil laugh here). LOL
I bought a bunch of extra fuses, and there are spaces next to the live fuses to store them. I guess GM couldn't shell out the $3 for the spares.

I got a chance to put 'em to the test tonight. A vehicle failed you yeild as I was getting off the highway. I blew the horn(s), the person who was obviously wanting to turn left make a right. I just happened to be turning right too. They went two blocks before I turned... they made a "u" turn at the next cut in the median. I guess they were scared I was fallowing them. With the stock horn they probably would have just changed lanes in to me.
Great Horny Toads, this thread won't die. The concensus is to add a horn/horns. Anybody else come up with a reasonably priced spanker horn that is easy to install?
