When anyone of forum members installed aftermarket DVD/stereo on their Hummers with Monsoon 6-CD changer with 7 speakers stock stereo, is it true that the subwoofer will not be working unless a complete rewire is done and an aftermarket amplifier and subwoofer are installed? That's what they told me at the BestBuy car installation today. Never saw or heard about this on the forums. Anyone has any knowledge of this?

Pioneer is the Shyt !
Might be a little expensive but you pay for what you get.
I think Alpine has gone downhill ever since they moved the factory to Korea the units look so Cheaply made.

I just installed the Kenwood DNX7100 unit. From a navigation standpoint I don't know if it gets better then Garmin. Real simple install as its all included in the unit, no need for separate components and it doesnt use a dvd for mapping so its spot on. Also no need to tie into the vehicle speed sensor as it uses waas for speed. I like the pioneers, but think the nav in the kenwood is amazing.

I think it is hard to beat the Kenwood DNX series for a dvd/nav system, considering what they are going for now. I just picked up a new DNX5120 for about $300 outa pocket so Im pretty pleased with it so far.

I have the Eclipse 7" touchscreen HDD (Hard Drive) Navigation/DVD and it is amazing!!! Really easy to use and you NEVER have to use those stupid naviagtion dvd's. HOWEVER... This thing was not Cheap. I think I paid close to $3000 for it after parts and add ons like iPod adaptor and stuff like that.... BUT if $$$ isnt a factor this is the one! Hands free, back up camera, Ipod interface... much more... amazing!!!

ive installed all of these units before. pioneer is a great player, but really complicated to me. I run the Eclipse AVN6620. It is priced reasonably and works great. extremely easy to use.

RE: Pioneer "F" series for an H-2
Does anyone happen to have one of the Pioneer AVIC F-series within their H-2 ? I am curious as to the fit. I was on Pioneer's website and went into the fit vehicle area where it did not populate any of the F series models; it provided a couple older versions with the 7" motorized screens. I am considering either the AVIC-F700BT or the AVIC-F90BT; I have seen now where these can be obtained for $414 & $661 respectively at retail & for even a little less on e-bay.
