I have an M-1 Garand and a Springfield bolt action from Pearl Harbor (have the certificate showing that it was there), Niether one is registered not will they be. All that registering is for is so that they know where to come and get them.

 

A few of mine are for hunting, a few are for self defense and the rest are just collector items. Hopefully we do well with the Supreme Court DC case and some of this BS goes away.

 

Don't hold your breath on the that one. I love my country and I support my govt (obviously), but we have gotten so far from where we started it isn't funny.
Somebody once compared it to boiling frog:
Drop a frog into a pot of boiling water and what would happen? More than likely it would try like hell to jump out. Now, put it into a pot of water and very slowly turn up the heat, the frog dies before he figures out what is happening. The same with our rights. Take them away one at a time and before anybody figures out that they are losing everything they are already gone.

I hate the gun laws in New Jersey with all this bs about kids using guns and these moms that think that by taking guns away from people they will solve something, there is more than one way to kill a human....next thing you know they will try to ban knives at resturaunts and make us use plastic ones

 

I don't know how many more gun laws can be erected to protect anyone else. Supposely, no one should be allow to have guns if they are mentally ill, has a criminal record. But the medical privacy rules that make it almost impossible to treat the pychos down. The criminal gets the guns illegally anyway. So, more gun control and gun law, who are these laws really protecting?

I actually believe criminal will think twice, before committing a crime if they know the victim is going to fight nails and teeth. If the intended victim actually have a gun and will shoot, the criminal might just leave the intended victim alone. I guess you will just have to out gun them. (now, that is a scary thought, with PMSing women, angry granny with big guns)

 

I don't know how it is in other states but in louisiana if you are being carjacked you can shoot to kill and it justified. our carjacking rate went down at least 50% when that went into effect. your auto is considered an extention of your home here. my gun stays on my seat at all times that i am in my cars.

 

I don't own guns anymore and I DO NOT believe in gun control

 

Disclaimer for those who disagree-this is my opinion okay...
I picked up my son from school today (he's 8) and he asked "Daddy, why do you always have your pistol?" (I am licensed CC and reserve deputy sheriff) I explained to him that it is my responsibility to protect him, my wife and myself as a provider for my family from the bad people in this world and that it is better to have a weapon and not need it, than the other way around. I think that is a logical argument no matter what the age. If you chose to not arm yourself, that is your choice-just please dont infringe upon my right to protect my family. Its been stated on this forum that if anyone kills anyone else for any reason they are a murderer. That is a ludicrous opinion with no basis in fact and would challenge anyone staring down two home invaders at their back door to shoot and protect their family or just allow the thugs to come in and reason with them regarding the social ills of our society and whey they feel forced to break in my back door.
Sorry- I tend to abstain from the political arguments on these forums as they tend to alienate some even though we all have a common love and interest in these wonderful vehicles-but I just felt compelled to throw in my two pennies.

 

Couldn't agree more juggalo. I have a CCP and I only came close to needing it one time but I honestly think my wife and I are here today because of it. Like you said, I hope I never need it again but if I do I will be thankful that I had it.
