what responce do you get in your hummer
Everyday it sits in the driveway is another day of life you have missed out on. Don't waste them you don't know how many you get! Go have fun.
on a related note, jeep forums seem completely obsessed with calling the H2 a "$50,000 vehicle". Considering that
A) basep rice is 54
B) its the most accessorized GM vehicle at several thousand per truck
C) the local dealer has never had one w/o the lux package, and i'd guess alot of H2s have alot of options
D) the aftermarket $$ on the H2 has to approach the highest of any vehicle on avg
i'd guess the avg price is 60-65.
and then i have to hypothesize that the reason its called a "$50,000" vehicle is because the poster wants to lessen the cost/money aspect of the H2. which furthers my basic theory that the jeep0-vs-hummer thing is more about $$$ than anything.
that noted, i joined a jeep forum a while back for just a few posts and they were very nice. some comments but mostly they were uber-cool.
Still, the truly preposterous behavior of jeepers towards the H2 is kind of sad in a self-destructive way.
wow thats alot of feedback, and my first post, thanks for all the comments. and no no troll ( shortbus ) and dennis for your information i drive a black h2, its more accesorised on the inside than out, but it has luxury package and a brush guard grill lights, nothing to much only the chrome that comes whith the luxury package. anyways and yes greenblade i really like your long posts, i like reading them, seems like you ponder them as much as me. and last yes i decided i dont care what others think, im gonna drive it cause i like it. thanks y'all.
i'm not sure if there's a forum or not, i've enver noticed one.
the comments at FUH2 do get reaalllly repetitive, and lose their humor value over time. like everybody is just playing copycat.
related to this thread, i drove through waaay northern minnesota/canada to go withs ome folks offroading, and the hummer didn't draw much attention for positive or negative, nothing like at home. now, we were mostly on the highway and things, but the gawking staring seemed to be alot less, which was a cool change of pace.
somebody should pile some blinged up h2s together and road trip across the country & make a map of the reaction. like a green/red contour map of hummer mania. lol

I've been driving my 2004 black H2 for about 3 months and 20000 km's in Norway and Sweden. Not once have I got any negative feedback or reactions - thankfully rather the opposite.
It's funny, but it's mostly older people who stop and look and ask questions, especially on the Swedish coutryside there's obviously many people who newer have seen one !
Yonger ones gives often thumbs up, and it feels pretty cool standing besides a 911, 430 og Bentley GT in Stockholm and I get all the attention !!
And yet they don't know that I'm driving "green" - much less emissions thank's to the propane system.

i bet a jeep guy joined just to say it was mostly negative.
i'm kidding, jeepers.
i got all muddy over the 4th weekend and just decided to leave it that way. I've gotten almost completely positive remarks and lots ofp eople hanging thumbs-ups out windows since driving around in a formerly white, now swamp-smelling (it'll clean up) and mostly mud hummer.
people dig muddy hummers! but they smell funny for a day or two until the goop all dries up. this isn't cali-mud that's just water and dirt, its good old fashioned lake mud, that is probably 50% living algae or something. [:'(]
