What do you use to stop deer/wildlife from eating flowers
Question: What can you put out in the flower bed keep the deer and wildlife from eating your flowers?
Figured with all of the hunters that we have, someone would know.

pre-64 Model 70 Winchester 270. Actually once the deer have established a trail to your garden they are hard to keep away. Deer hate the smell of humans. An old fashioned, yet no so hygenic, way to keep deer away is to pee around your garden. I have heard of people sprinkling human hair around a garden. Usually predator urine like coyote, mountain lion, etc( sold at Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, etc. ) will keep deer away. The only problem is these things only work until the smell goes away. ( solution= drink lots of beer ) Try these:
www.predatorpee.com
www.liquidfence.com
www.nimby.com

they make product for it...probably can find some at cabelas.com or something like that. or just throw a salt lick in your neighbors yard and the deer will never go into your flower bed..lol
Thanks Impy, we were tossing around the pee idea. Wasn't sure if that was actually true. I know it works for skunks in your yard, makes sense.
I generally like to use a Winchester Model 70 7mm Mag...
However... Some of the more pratical things are Hot pepper, Irish Spring soap bars hanging, or cut into slivers, a dog, motion detector noise makers, urine,or change the plants in the garden... deer won't eat some stuff until they are really hungry.
