Same here... Last Accident I was in was in the 80's.. and I was driving a 1974 Ford Thunderchicken..(Bird) with a 460 Big Block motor. That ride weighed as much as a HUMMER H2...well...........almost.

I broke the carb linkage and she went full throttle in drive. I was standing on the power breaks as she slid to a stop with the rear wheels still slowly turning and the front wheels locked.

I slammed into a Concrete Waste container which was molded into the concrete sidewalk. This was in Frantic City at TRUMP's Casino. It was in the Valet area. Luckily I slid towards the sidewalk trying to stop the beast which I did by turning off the ignition after I realized the breaks wouldn't stop me.

Tore a small piece of rubber trim on the front bumper ..but since the Ford had the 5 MPH impact moveable bumper that was it.

However...it did cost me $570.00 out of my own pocket to replace the trash Container and part of the sidewalk. The Police officer had a good laugh when he saw what I did.....LMAO..

After that... I decided never to buy a small car.

 

Thanks I'm fine......Not sure but we have plenty of resident HUMMER experts here..Surprized they didn't answer that one. I no my 2009 LUX has Pillar air bags also.. But they did not deploy. I think thier only for roll over.

My Pillars B-C-D have "AIRBAG" markings on them. You should be able to find out about yours by looking in your H2 years owners manual.

Ive been hit twice from the rear, we have a extended trl-hitch about 1 foot so i can still swing the tire while the boats on the back....

one car has a large hole in ther plactic fender, the other one also had coolant/freon going everyware...........

He told the cop he dident see the truck.......while he was texing............LMAO

All i felt was a slight bumb at the red light......there crazy here in South florida,Fort Lauradale


What are they going to do about repairing your truck, parts are a Hard item for older Hummers like mine 2004.........

Hopefully they have everything for the 09's left..............Good Luck

All the parts are available for the H2.. I wouldn't worry about your rig being a 2004. I bet those parts are available as many of the chassis parts are the same thru 2009. The trim parts for 2004 should be around somewhere also or can be updated to fit your rig I would Guess.

What Bums me out now is the fact that now there will be a BLACK Mark on my H2 in reference to a "CARFAX" showing it was involved in an accident.

This will lower the possible resale or trade in value of the rig. All that happen to it was a bent piece of bumper plastic and a few bent support brackets and the side air bags. The rig is fine.

How much that will effect the resale value I'm not sure about. The only plus here is that at least the HUMMER totaled his car.
