Default Weekend Wrenching: Shocks/Shackles/Tires

Did some wrenching at my buddies shop over the weekend. Got new Bilsteins on all the way around, brand new Pro Comp Xtreme M/T 315/75r16, and the Warrior Products shackles. This is my second set of the Xtreme M/T. Great tires for sure, insanely good traction when aired down, but do be careful on the rocks or you'll chew them up.

My Magnaflow catback should be here tomorrow too!

I LOVE the way the truck rides with Bilsteins all the way around now, like a freakin Cadillac! Also yes, I know its dirty, I was going wheeling the day after doing this, but I just got done cleaning up in the driveway.

Old shackles off, and one shock on.

Everything on and buttoned up

Front shocks on, had to cut the old factory ones off, couldn't get them to stop spinning in the mount.

New tires!

New side profile after being leveling out with TBar crank

Full size spare finally!

Seksay rear shot, or what all the tiny car drivers see.

Thanks! Looks like a totally different animal from the front too now too. For anyone that hasn't done a TBar lift you can't really appreciate it unless you stand next to the truck up near the hood before and after, its a really big difference.

I also can't wait to hear and feel the difference from the Magnaflow when it gets here. I'm like a little kid on Christmas. My buddy got me a great deal $430+tax from 4Wheel Parts.

You're gonna love it! There's no doubt there's a V8 under the hood when you drive by!

Did you go with the Warrior 128 or 154 shackles? The H3 looks great! I saw 4 Wheel Parts had a special on the Pro Comp Xtreme M/T's a couple weeks ago, buy 3 get the 4th free.

I went with the 128, I think....whatever the longer ones were. My leafs were getting tired and sagging a bit. I figured shackles were a quick fix since I plan on lifting it in the spring.

Grabbed a front shot, no wonder people move over quickly when I get behind them.

Could use a tad more crank on the passenger side, my truck has the pimp lean going on now that the TBar's settled.

The picture makes the lean looks alot worse than it is, plus my driveway is slightly sloped on that side.

I'm doing new ball joints on the passenger side, upper and lower, later in the week. I'll finish the TBars after that since it's going to get aligned as soon as the ball joints are done.

Also on the left side you get a bonus shot of all the fill dirt from my wheeling trips. Used to be a pretty good drop there!

Here's a few more pics from the wheeling trip on Saturday.

Also here is a quick video from the property we were on that I threw together. Unfortunately I'm not in it since I was doing the shooting. The one part where you see the rigs drop down in and then go straight back, holy cow. The video does NOT do that justice, it was gnarly for sure. I was nervous to take my rig through it because I didn't want to get wedged down in there.
