Ya your right but when I bout it I put it thru it's inspections but the inspections don't tell you or can tell you if anything is wrong internally. You can't predict internally or just guess it's going out until you feel it. Their is or was no warning signs. You can't check the tranny without paying someone a thousand dollars just to take it apart and put back in. It doesn't set off codes or anything. As soon as I felt the reverse and first was week. I took it in the very next day. Regardless of I bought a bad one or didn't tear apart the vehicle insides to see any potential problems. The year 2006 HUMMERS have same problems. I read a lot of the H2's with simalr problems I've had. They should've made HUMMERS more reliable due to its main purpose of being off road and idoled after the original HUMMERS. Why make such a beast of a vehicle when it will just eat itself up. It's like my hummer trying to kill its self.
I'm curious to see how many days until the next huge problem with this thing. Like my 4wd probably or something stupid an insanely expensive.
I get the hummer back Thursday evening or Friday morning. So we will see if it makes it thru a week without something else braking.

Reality check. You either have no idea what you are talking about, or your attempt at explaining what you perceive to be a problem isn't getting through.

You said you went to go wheeling off the freeway and it would barely move until you got to 25-30. Did you try Low?

Where I go wheeling, nobody goes 25-30, would be impossible. Even at the sand dunes, that is on the high end of the scale, and sand requires some momentum. Wheeling is LOW speed, through and around obstacles. Soft dirt and sand create a bunch of drag like trying to push a loaded wheelbarrow through a sand pit vs on hard packed dirt. So yeah, you are going to have to use a bunch of skinny pedal to move on a slope when you are in the wrong gear.

@ doc olds. What are u talking about. I know how to 4wheel. I was on my way to go wheeling. I had not reached my destination yet. On the way their when I got off freeway is when I noticed sluggish first. Flat ground or on dirt or any type of ground, no reverse and barley a first. Regular 4wheel or 4hi or 4lo. Doesn't matter. If tranny is messed up it not gonna move. The vehicle is in the shop due to bad transmission. Doc you have no idea what your talking about. Please don't reply to my posts anymore. The hummer is getting a new tranny put in. Two gears were stripped. So doesn't matter what gear I'm in, I can't move. Flat ground or on hill.

And no I was not going 25-30 mph off roading. I was talking about flat ground off the freeway. Obviously didn't do any wheeling. I couldn't get up a hill. BAD TRANSMISSION! If no transmission then no wheeling. I'm not dumb enough to push my tranny until it's totally toasted. I wasn't going to force it to struggle on hills when before it was no problem. Next time you read someone post, they may not be 100% clear so try to think of situation. So to your 25-30 mph off road was dumb comment. Who would go that fast wheeling. Especially in 4lo or even 4hi. I don't know why I'm clearing this up w you. You onviously don't have a life and be on here to try to poke fun n try to make people feel stupid. I don't even know why I'm replying to your post lol. Have fun reading everyone's post an commenting stupid stuff about someone's problem. Get a new hobby Doc

Dude!!! Doc is one of the most knowledgeable guys on this forum. Your post was confusing (just like Doc and other said) but from the sound of it your tranny is toast - happens. I don't know who you bought it from and whether you have any recourse but calling out Doc ain't gonna help - unless it just makes you feel better.

You seem to be convinced that Hummers suck, so fine dump yours. But we are not all on the forums "because ur HUMMERS have problems". Problems come up and reading any forum (just check out the Wrangler forum) you will get the impression that problems are the norm. My '07 has not had one single significant problem in over 125K miles. But if the previous owner did not change the drive train fluids or mistreated the vehicle you could have problems. My H3 showed up some metal in the last tranny fluid change, so I would not be surprised to see some slipping in the future and a rebuild or replacement may be in my future but after 125K miles that's not an indication of a POS design.

When you attack Doc for just saying that your very aggressive posts don't make much sense to him, well you look foolish not him.

HUMMRON2006; WOW, just WOW.

Try going back and reading your posts about your issue. They are hard to read and comprehend. egroegart, Doc and the others tried to help and got even more confused by your further posts.

Maybe english isn't your first language, which is OK. If not you have to let us know so others can try to read between the lines.

I think you are the one that posted 25-30mph off road, and you seem to be the one that does not know what you are talking about.

My H3 has not had a single problem, have owned and driven it for the last 5 years, and people are not on a forum because they have problems they are here because they have a common passion.

It almost sounds to me your lack of knowledge and understanding and ignorance by not listening to people who know what they are talking about is most probably what is causing half these problems you are having.

May be re read the stuff you typed, half of it makes no sense and is almost impossible to understand, and it's not even your thread.

Smart move calling people who are trying to help you stupid, when they are the ones that know about these vehicles.

+10 on what everyone else said. and the H3 is a very reliable vehicle. Just like any other vehicle there are good ones and bad ones. But my assumption is that yours was a good one, but wasn't taken care of, and I would be willing to bet that if I or other members here would have looked over that vehicle there would have been huge warning signs that we would have found.
