Water intrusion not covered by GM warranty
I have an 06 H3. I was running around town all day yesterday and no problems. I came home and had to leave again but the truck started acting wierd. Reduced power, traction failure, service alarms etc. Had it towed to the dealer today just to get a call back that there was water intrusion in the "distibution block" and caused the connections to corrode. "WATER INTRUSION IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. CALL YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY". Not sure where this intrusion came from but had to have been there when I bought it. I am the second owner and the H was originally from Florida. I haven't noticed any water leaking inside the vehicle, never had it in any kind of high water and know I'm facing a $4,600 bill to have it repaired if warranty doesn't cover it and the hassle of dealing with the insurance company and a deductible. Has anyone else experienced this condition and did your warranty cover it?

Finally back Friday
After a month of going thru Hummer/ Gm warrantee, insurance and a blessing from GOD himself, I got the H3 back. Hummer/ Gm would not honor warranty because i was the second owner of the vehicle. Even though the first owner documented everything from oil to tire rotatioins on the vehicle. Fuse box had corrosioin in it. ?????? Shouldn't there have been some kind of dialectric on them? To make a long story short, 1 month at the Hummer dealer, no warranty, insurance adjusters, 1 fuse box ($369) and labor ($4,120.69). While picking up mine a lady came in complaining about not getting work done under warranty for an 08 Alpha. GM would not honor warranty.

Therein lies the risks of buying used. Where do you think the water damage came from?? Flood, storms, driving in and through water too deep??
I'd be taking a good look at the vehicle history, and would not have expected warranty to cover it.

I have the entire history on the vehicle. It was a lease vewhicle from Atlanta Ga. It was over their "lease mileage" and was set for sale. Every diagnostic and everything was turned over to me at the sale. Hummer said they have never seen it happen. I'm wondering when it was detailed before I took possession of it, if somehow water got in it when detailing the engine compartment.
