Default Blown Monsoon Subwoofer Covered?

I Believe that my subwoofer is blown in the 3... It makes a popping sound when high bass plays through it... I only have the bass set on half way... should this be covered by the warranty?

have the same problem. I don’t listen to it to loud... but the dealer is over 100 miles away so I haven’t had a reason to take it in yet. Let me know how you make out.

My Bass is at 90%, mid-range at 75%, and trebble at 85% - I blast it to the point ofdistortion. It can never be to loud. The dial shouldn't go to the right if it can't play there [sm=crossbonesgif.gif]......I wish it went to 11 (Spinal Tap)

METAL RULZ!

ps- play stupid and insist that the dealer replace it.

I've blown too many factory speakers in too manyvehicles, so when we bought our H3, I told myself this one's not being blown: I turned the bass and midrange down quite a bit.

It's still a lot more bass than I've had before, so that's not an issue for me.

I blew the speakers in my 97 Cavalier, my 98 Monte Carlo, my 2001 Monte Carlo, and the 2003 Chevy Venture Van. The only speakers I have never blown were the Pioneer 6x9's and Alpine door speakers I put in my 1984 Chrysler Laser!

When I say "blown" I don't mean not working, I mean that when you listen to ANYTHING, you get bad distortion (like base rattles a heck of a lot), etc.

YMMV

Man, you hit the nail right on the head... LoL... I was listening to the new TI song when it blew... it's not bad if I turn the bass down a little (actually you can't even tell it). I haven't had a change to take it over to the dealer yet 'cause I work a lot, but they said to bring it over and they'll look at it and it should be no problem.... I'll let ya know, more than likely, the middle of next week...
