Hi just bought by new H3 the dealer had upgraded to 285/50/20 Kumho tires that look great but it seems to wander on the road at highway speeds. It is not terrible but kinda of annoying any suggestions?

First, Welcome aboard. Second, If the tires are causing issues and you just bought your Hummer have your dealer switch back to the stock tires. I don't notice any wandering at highway speeds with stock tires. Third, Let me be the first to say:

 

LOL. Ok I really want to keep the upgraded tire and wheel package but I want my H3 to quit wandering also. I will get some pic uploaded soon.

Sorry I didn't realize that it was a tire/wheel package. I would definitely have the dealer take a look at it.

 

You should do as Rutdogg suggests and have dealer look at it, but be prepared to look at other options. Tires can have a huge effect on ride and handling, and sometimes a particular manufacturer or design does not perform how it should, or how you expect it. I have had situations on vehicles where, as you described, the vehicle wanders after a new set of different tires were installed. After complaining to the store I purchased from, and much experimentation such as trying another set of same model, rebalancing, checking alignment, etc, found that some tires just don't perform well on some cars, or at least, they introduce some ride aspect that you do not like. The type of rubber, the rigidity of the sidewall, the tread design, the quality, and then the vehicle itself all contribute to the final ride experence. Good Luck, and lets see some pics

 

it could be the width of the tire and the ruts in the interstate from the truckers
i had the same problem with my toyota when i had 39x18.5x15 on it .

like everyone is sayin ..best to have someone check it out

I have noticed that with high winds 25-30+ and my 33" tires that I get blown about the road a bit. Just like my old jeeper used to. Might be that, were there any winds?

 

or it could be that we all drive a mobile box down the road..It's like wind hitting a wall!!
