Default Vibration at idle?

Okay guys well I finally picked up my 06 H3 Project, it's got 95k miles on it and in need of a transfer case rebuild. It's been sitting for about 8 months but has been cranked occasionally. Anyways, at idle there is a vibration from the motor, its not severe but its very noticeable.

I've been reading and seen several people had that issue and it was cured by replacing a coil pack (was misfring on one cylinder), I went by Auto Zone and had my codes read and there were 0 codes. Could this still be an issue with a coil pack?

Since they are only around $23 each I was thinking about replacing all 5 coil packs, all 5 spark plugs, cleaning the throttle body, also going to replace the air filter and all fluids.

Any other cheap/easy to check possible culrpits for this vibration?

When you give it gas and raise the RPM the vibration goes away. Also, what should the idle typically be on the H3s?

Thanks,
Spencer

Search throttle body and MAF cleaning. That's where I would start. Good Luck.

No codes ehh? Yeah go ahead and replace all those things I guess. But the H3 with an I5 is always gonna have a nice vibration to it. My v8 vibrates but not nearly as much as the I5s that I test drove through the years.

Since you really don't know what has or has not been done I would change ALL of the fluids (engine, trans, diffs, steering, brakes, etc). Clean the throttle body and MAF and see what you have.

Tcase: you won't know until you crack it open.

I5s are not inherently balanced, some vibration through the steering wheel is normal. No check engine lights ore stored codes = no worries.

Coil pack either work or they don't, if yours are working it would be pretty silly to replace them.

An Auto Trans I5 should idle at appx 650 RPM in gear.

Thanks guys, when it vibrates at idle the idle is sitting right about 1000rpm. Yesterday I drove it down the street and back and noticed that the vibration vanished and the idle dropped down to around 650ish. Any idea on what might make it idle higher then drop back to normal and smooth out? Maybe a really dirty sensor or TB?It has been sitting for a while with only being cranked every now and then and is almost out of gas. Although I wouldn't imagine bad gas would make it idle higher but could cause a vibe. I am going to put a fresh tank of gas and some seafoam in it and see if that helps it out. Also going to clean the MAF and TB and change all plugs, fluids, and filters as well.

Are there any other little things that could use replacing around 100k miles? PCV valves or anything like that?

Thanks,
Spencer
