Default Upgrading Stock to Monsoon

Hey guys, I have come into possession of the 6-disc CD unit monsoon system (thank you again Bob). I was just wondering if anyone knows of any upgraded wiring or any harnesses that have to be changed or should be changed to upgrade the system from the single CD system. I will be looking at doing speaker upgrades in the future, but just looking to change the unit right now. Looking at the unit, it looks fairly straightforward.

I looked in the search but I didn't see anyone do this upgrade.

Thank you.

As far as I know, it's just 'plug-n-play.'

I honestly would tell you to contact Brodie at www.Ridgedemon.com he's the electrical/audio wiz... he even is custom designing a better than monsoon system that fits into the monsoon sub enclosure...

Awesome thanks for the info, I am going to send him an email right now. I would definitely like to get an enclosure done at some point, so I will look forward to that.

Yes, plug and play on the head unit, but that doesn't make it Monsoon. The monsoon is upgraded speakers plus the sub (with amp). You'll basically get the "standard" audio system with the 6-disc player.

I swapped my original stereo for a 6-disk. With out the sub/amp, the volume is not nearly as loud as it was with the original radio and you have to get the 6-disk radio reprogrammed (i got mine done at local dealership) to make it work at all in your H3.

I just recently went back to my original radio and am running a fm transmitter for aux music and it is much louder.
