Rust is like cancer! It must be completely removed off.
Then I put five different layers of coating that protects from further corrosion. Still cant forget about the body and the frame cavities.

 

In the photo left side you can see that, what you usually don't see. Body cavities.

 

^so what have you sprayed in there to treat the rust where you can't get to with power/air tools?

 

I use Würth cavity wax.

Given those pics are of a 6-lug hub, it would not be an H2.
