Default Uncontrolled seat heat...

As much as I love having this feature for cold winter mornings, I do not love that the seat heat in my 2004 H2 comes and goes as it pleases. I can watch the lights on my drivers door panel come on and go back off every few seconds keeping my seat hot the entire time. I try to turn it off and it comes right back on. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a solution other then pulling the fuse and disabling it all together??

I believe this is a common gremlin with the 2's. I haven't had the issue (knock on wood) but from what I've read around the forums it could be a whole slew of issues. Everything from faulty button to a short in the heating element.

Hopefully someone who's had the issue will chime in.

I've had the same problem in mine. I thought it was a short as it seems to happen after a hard rain. I've replaced and sealed with silicone the cab lights on the top, had the windshield replaced. I don't notice any water under my carpet anymore, but something is still wrong. It doesn't happen that frequently, at least so far. Knock on wood. Mine is a 2006 H2.

Ive noticed the problem is worse when moisture is present but it has happened at other times as well. Being that its winter in Kodiak Alaska, it could be worse. Just wish I could shut the damn thing off.
