Think the tranny is going bad outta no where it reved to 5.5 grand and seems as if OD is gone... What would the chances be to get GM to cover it, im 5k miles over 50k... Slipping very bad also. Or would I be better off getting a new tranny and swapping it out my self.

Drive train warranty up to 100K miles, but your age may effect that, some model years it is five years 100K miles.

 

Only had the 5 year 50k mile warranty and im over that by 5k miles...

Would it be worth a shot to call GM, all my family buys is GM so maybe they could do something for me. Only drivable up to about 45mph after that i need to baby the throttle.
