Default Towing 10,000+ lbs...no problem

Towed the most weight I ever had with the H2 yesterday. Easily over 10k lbs. Trans temp never got over 130F with outside temps in the mid 60's and i could go up hills at 70mph just as easily as if I was unloaded. Only issues was how much it had me sagging in the rear.

its too bad that trck just barely fit on the trailer. you could have moved it back and helped out with the sag a bit.

what did you get for mpg's towing? im curious since i get about 8.5 with mine lifted. any mods done to it besides the tires and light bar?

nice job!

Yeah we were supposed to get a car hauler from a friend but it didnt happen. I have a magnuson supercharger and 4.56 gears.
I didn't measure fuel economy but my dic didnt change at all. Nor did it seem like I used anymore than I normally would for the distance I went.

All that I found was this short description of the frame on lynch hummer's old site.
Looks like that's for the 08/09 models based on GVWR.
Hummer H2 Chassis description.

The hydroformed, short rear-frame section helps create a high departure angle. It is heavily reinforced in key areas for H2's 8,600-pound GVWR capacity. The rear section incorporates a standard, integral trailer hitch receiver. Unlike with most SUVs (whose hitch receiver is added on), the H2's is built right into the last crossmember of the frame rail and developed into the bumper. A Class 3 trailer hitch is standard.
I'd assume (could be wrong) that the H2 would have the same hitch as Chevy 2500s of the same year.
