I saw it too. It was awesome! Someone told me there's going to be a solar eclipse this summer? Has anyone else heard that?
HummBob might get to see it:
In the year 2008 there will be two solar eclipse events. On February 7, there will be an Annular Solar Eclipse that will be visible in Antarctica, Eastern Australia, and in New Zealand. And on August 1 there will be a Total Solar Eclipse that people in Canada, Greenland, Siberia, Mongolia, and China will be able to see.

The next one visible in the USA is August 21, 2017 [:@]

I got a great shot of a full moon but it wasn't during an eclipse. This year it was sleeting and nasty in Nashville when it occured and I didn't have my camera anyway. This shot was taken in much better weather conditions.

Below are some pics of shot of the lunar eclipse back in Oct. 2004 These were shot with my old Fuji S9000 digital w/ 300mm lens.
Sorry about the large size, I forgot to scale the originals. Now they are pretty small.

IK, you gotta use a tripod. My old Fuji S9000 was pretty good for a point and shoot but it couldn't take pics this good holding it, I wish I could get some pics with my Canon 30D, that sucker is sweet.

Here's a pic I shot back in the summer with my Canon 30D using a tripod and a 300mm Canon lens.
