So I'm searching the forums for posts about snow tires, and not seeing much for the last few years. Anyone running dedicated snow tires? Im in the NE where we tend to see a lot of packed snow, slush and ice on the roads. I know there's no stock snow tires for 215/75r17, but I'm wondering what size still looks good on the truck and has dedicated snows.

I run Kelly Safari year round and absolutely love them.

 

A lot of guys say to get Goodyear Duratrac tires for all year round since they do well in the snow.

I'd look into any all terrain that has the Mountain/Snowflake symbol. These include the BFG KO2s, Faulken Peak AT3W, Cooper Discover A/T3, ST Maxx, or STT Pro, etc...

The Cooper ST Maxx is very simliar to the Goodyear Duratrac. I know that the ST Maxx has a 285/75r17, which might be more ideal since you want a skinnier tire (I know you're well aware of it).

I'm not a fan of the KO2s as they tend to dryrot quickly.
The Faulken Peak AT3W are a much better option than the KO2s imho, based on the feedback.

 

I've been running 315/75/16 Duratrac's year round on my H3 for over 8 years in New England. I couldn't ask for better winter performance from a tire. I can't imagine any dedicated snow tire would perform any better.
