Default tire and shock question....

Recently bought a stock H3 Adventure/Luxury with 76,000 miles. I use the vehicle for both on road and off. Off road is MILES of washboard or imbedded rocks in hard dirt. Only the bits of sand are smooth. Currently I have Bridgestone Dueler A/T LT 285/75/16 tires with alot of tread left. I have always kept them at 35psi.

My questions....

1. Would lower pressures be better for the hard washboardy stuff?? If so, what pressure?

2. Would the Fox shocks be (by far) my preferred (expensive) choice given what I'm driving on...or could Bilsteins hold up to that constant pounding? I don't think this vehicle was ever driven off road before I got it so the stock shocks aren't yet blown up.

Any response appreciated. I've ridden off road bikes a fair amount but never taken trucks out there. Having air conditioning and tunes is really great!

Thanks.

Try 20psi on the stock Adventure Bridgestones. You will notice a better ride on the 1/2 buried bowling *****!

Shocks are VERY subjective. If you have the $ for the fox resi shocks by all means buy them!

Luckily, Bilstein also makes a remote reservoir 5160 series shock if that's where you want to go.
