I keep hearing a ticking noise when my engine is running.It's constant & very annoying.Could this be the valves needing adjustment?My H3 is a 2006 with a automatic transmission.It has less than 45,000 miles & I bought it used over a year ago.It has made that ticking noise from day one.I even have had passengers ask me about the noise.What,s gong on?

 

Might check the exhaust manifold bolts, they like to break off.

 

My H3 for about a year made a whirring noise, almost like if you put a playing card in the spokes of your bicycle wheel. This occurred under acceleration on the highway. My dealer finally figured out it was a cracked manifold. The fixed it under warranty and the engine is now great.
