ticking noise
 

I keep hearing a ticking noise when my engine is running.It's constant & very annoying.Could this be the valves needing adjustment?My H3 is a 2006 with a automatic transmission.It has less than 45,000 miles & I bought it used over a year ago.It has made that ticking noise from day one.I even have had passengers ask me about the noise.What,s gong on?:confused:

Might check the exhaust manifold bolts, they like to break off.

My H3 for about a year made a whirring noise, almost like if you put a playing card in the spokes of your bicycle wheel. This occurred under acceleration on the highway. My dealer finally figured out it was a cracked manifold. The fixed it under warranty and the engine is now great.
