Taking a little break
After all the drama that happened here, I realized that my energy is not where I want it to be. I want to start doing things to better my life and do something meaningful with it, and I haven't been doing that.
I don't know if you guys all remember Brian Boyle, the kid who got into that car accident and came here looking for sponsorship, but here is his MySpace page:

Well, since I was one of the only people that actually had more faith in his truth then anybody, I started talking to him, and since then have gotten to be friends with him. Once you get to know him, he's a pretty amazing person.
Anyway, since he came on here, he's completed an amateur IronMan competition, had his story run on local tv stations, and is now being officially sponsored in the big IronMan competition in Kona, Hawaii in December. There are certain talk shows and night variety shows he in talks to appear on (I can't say which, but I'll let you guys know as soon as it's official) and NBC is going to have his story as the feature story for the IronMan competition when it's televised this winter. He's being thrown into a media circus slowly and is only 21, and it's kinda overwhelming for him.
This being said, I'm using my sports industry contacts and business contacts to try to get him more sponsors, I'm going to create his official web page and set that up for him, and also just encourage him. I feel this is my time to do something meaningful in my life and the reason being he cares less about money and fame. His number one motivating factor is to inspire people not to give up and keep fighting, and that is why I feel passionate about this.
Besides this, I'm talking to my attorney friends about possibly helping him pro-bono to make sure he gets his intellectual property rights to his name, and he doesn't get screwed by the sponsors. I'm trying to find one of my friends to take this on, but it's a slow process since they are so swamped.
Anyway, as I said, getting to know him has inspired me to be a better person and look past the stupid little things that make you angry or down in life. I've changed my whole way of thinking and acting at home as well as at work. Between him and my ex-vietnam friend, these two people could change anybody given the chance to know these guys. They make the petty BS stuff you worry about in every day life seem pointless and meaningless.
Anyway, I'm pretty dedicated to this so I don't think I'm going to be around as much as I used to. I don't know how much of my efforts are going to help, if at all, but trying to get people just to pay attention to it has been a fight. Try getting attorneys that bill $400 to $600 an hour to take the time to read the story. It's a good thing I've made alot of friends here because without those friendships this would all be impossible.
So, looking at people like Dennis who wastes time making himself look poewrful and all-mighty for people he doesn't even personally know, I told myself I'm going to make a difference, and show people like him there's better things to do then be some ******* with a ego and a mental problem.
So, there ya go.
This may take days, weeks, months, who knows, but at least I can look back at all of this and say I did something good for someone, and depsite F*ckers like Dennis saying I'm some lying POS or backstabber or whatever, well F you Dennis. That's all I have to say.

So, I just got word today after a meeting that I need to resume my role as temporary supervisor which I did in June/July. Technically, I'm not the supervisor, but act as one usually. Ours has been having mental health issues, as well as physicaly health issues. She apparently is back in the hospital again today, not sure which kind of hospital, so she will be out indefinitely, and I will be back to being the acting supervisor, so I definitely will be scarce here. If you guys need me, PM me, but other then that, I'm really not going to have any time to watch the posts. I'll be lurking but not much more unfortunately.
Well, good luck with your professional tasks, as well as your assistance with this young man.
if and when you should have the time to become active again here, we will be here! just try to drop us a line from time to time so that the rest of us know how you are doing.
thanks for your assistance here, and again, best wishes in your endeavors...

I'm not vanishing. I'll still be here, but I just won't have time to monitor the threads. I'll still be logged in for PM's and the Mod room posts, but other then that, I doubt I'll have time for anything else. Don't worry, I'm not going to drop off the face of the earth, but I just need to balance my time a little better. Other then the Moderator channel stuff, I need to focus here more. Real Life sucks sometimed

Yeah so I try to help the kid and haven't heard from him in, oh, maybe two weeks. Regardless of why, I'm done being mr. nice guy. *** it. I have my own life to worry about, and work is getting to be a f'ing drama in itself. That and my lemon of a POS H3 keeps having issues and being in the shop every other 3 weeks, I'm starting to realize ya know what, I'm done putting my hand out for people that don't recipricate or show some sort of gratitude or effort. Regardless of whether or not I actually try to help the kid, I'm concentrating more on work and as many upgrades to my house as I can possibly do before I re-fi.
As soon as I'm done with this re-fi, I'll be looking for a new job most likely, unless some miraculous event happens which makes me reconsider why I should stay here. I've had enough ungrateful people taking advantage of my willingness to work my life away for money. Sometimes money isn't worth it.
I'm also done trying to be mr. nice guy to azzh0les like Dennis. My true feelings is that he is an ignorant piece of shiitt with a warped sense of reality that includes 99% of it being on the internet and 1% being his job, wife and kid. He needs to get a g'damn life and stop pestering people. Mark uses his dieing mother as an excuse for everything which also makes him a POS in my book as well. He was nice to me, but ya know what, anybody using your dieing mother to hide behind your ignorance and stupidity is a low-life in my book.
Yes I grew some ***** the last week or two. Welcome me to the world of men please
